Tammy tries to be Paris Hilton.

Posted on February 26, 2006. Filed under: comedy, funny, funny article, humour, Teen life |

From what I gather Tammy tried to become Singapore’s Paris Hilton by making a video of her making it out with her boyfriend. Tammy is a sweet 17 year old girl who was shot having sex with her boyfriend by a friend on a mobile phone. The video then made it to the internet and Tammy became very popular. Tammy says that she had no idea that the video was taken but we all know that Paris Hilton was just that other blonde before her sex video started doing the rounds of the internet.

Singapore laws are strict about underage sex. And Tammy Nyp was 17 , she’s in for some big time trouble. Tammy what was the need of screwing your boyfriend at school? Look where it’s landed you. Is there a lesson to be learnt from this…..

Yes their is and that lesson is – Sex at sixteen and seventeen can be injurious to your reputation if shot by a jealous kid having a video phone.

Is this the beginning of World War 3 ?

Posted on February 25, 2006. Filed under: ANGUISH, emotions, Teen life, Wars |

The violence over the Muhammed Cartoons has still not abated. The wounds are still raw in Pakistan and the injuries have just started here in India. A lot of violence was seen in Hyderabad last week. Students throwing stones at Government buildings and why…? Just because the Indian Government though it best to remain neutral on this issue. But all this violence has finally forced them to take a stance and blimey what a funny stance it is. The government condemned the cartoons saying it was ," an insult to the pious muslims , but it was not reason enough for all the violence…". But in case anyone hasn’t noticed , the muslim people of West Asia are very sensetive. They cried because their God was insulted! I mean , Muhammed was a Prophet , not a God. But still that doesn’t justify the violence. I scoured the web for what others think and found a very scathing commentery on Zipperfish. One of their popular toon scather called Reginold.

It was the most insulting thing I had ever heard. I never thought that racism was so vivid in America. 😡 I am with all the muslims who have to endure a lot in other nations because of the extremist activites of their West Asian counterparts. Reginold represents the mood of America ~ as a popular blogger said. HOLY SHIT !:x If they keep up this attitude then maybe they are calling their own doom. Yeah I know the counter reactions on the Right to expression and free-speech. But that doesn’t mean you can go on insulting other cultures. Remeber 9/11 , maybe the people do remeber 9/11 and are enjoying their revenge. But why should the entire muslim population be demonised becasue of some Muslim terrorists who only do one thing best…..DESTROYING THINGS. Come to think of it , WW2 was fought because of the ill handling of the Jews , then is this the beginning of WW3 because of an insulting Danish cartoon..?

Just what I needed , a scare before my exams.

Posted on February 24, 2006. Filed under: comedy, exams, funny, funny article, humour, Teen life, Uncategorized |

Ok so the boards are only six days away and there is hysteria evrywhere I look. Kids freaking out and collpasing, articles on how to perform better in the board exams are available in newspapers on almost a daily basis. If you take time to read these articles you will realise that the person who wrote that is a shallow brained, humongous idiot who never got more than 50% in his board exam. These articles end up doing exactly the opposite of the tagline says. I’ll clarify….. The article claims that it will give you tips in helping to reduce stress and nervousness but at the end you end up feeling more nervous and scared then ever before. And some of those tips are entirely useless and impractical. 😡

Today is Friday and I got the Education Express supplement with today’s Indian Express. The cover article was titled as “Board Games” and it was written by Rekha Borgohain Dixit. This article was full of self contradictions and it was pretty scary for a student who will appear his board exams on March 2. Now coming back to the spotlight, by the time I was half through the article I was so thoroughly scared that I pictured getting horrible marks even after a lot of practice. But as I said, the article was so full of self contradictions that I was laughing by the end of it , having realised that this article was a waste of time and paper. Some quotes from the article………

The first haunting line – In case you find something too difficult , it’s best to leave it and take chances with the exam

What!? 😮 Take chances with the exam , you are out of your mind lady. You must sort out your priorities.

It’s no use mugging up chapters at this stage….

Oh yeah then I think you don’t want to pass your Social Science exam.

When you ultimately write the exam, you have t quickly decide how much time to devote to each section…You must be smart enough to adapt yourself to any surprises that the question paper will ultimately throw up.

The lady says that the students of India are dumbasses. 😡 By the way if she would have looked a little she might have noticed that she is scaring her innocently frustrated fifteen year old reader. This was the line that spooked me the most. She is saying that the question paper will throw up unkind surprises and that we are dumb enough not to notice it. Lady ,the question paper has as many surprises as ice-cream in outer space. And in the past three years unkind surprises are very few. This line was entirely demoralising and almost destroyed all my research on board question patterns.

Then she went on to emphasize the importance of the board exam and how it is the starting of a good carrer and bright future. She finally ended up the horror of an article by writing…..

Just remeber, the board exams are not the be-all and end-all of life. Not all big toppers we know were board toppers. Many were academically average…

She blew up the entire point of that article in the last line. Why waste your ink when all you want to say is the last line…? Waht do you think people?

Thanks for the Userbar Karthik.

Google Pages.

Posted on February 23, 2006. Filed under: emotions, tech talk, Teen life, Uncategorized |

I must admit I am impressed with Googlepages. Yes entirely impressed. It’s the easiest way to create a webpage and all you need is a Gmail id. My readers will know that I have a Gmail id , infact I have 3.  Google has simplified the entire process of webpage creation. Armed with a powerful WYSIWYG editor and the choice of over hundreds of themes , Googlepages is all set to take on the likes of Tripod and Geocities and of course win. Come to think of it , I haven’t seen the Google people on the losing side at all ! Well of course we have some promising contenders under development. Kosmix for one. Well the technology is not yet perfected and sometimes the entire software crashes. My first attempt was a disaster the entire webpage crashed and I had to start from scratch. But if you think that you have outgrown WSIWYG editing and can code your own web-page then Google allows that too.

Just take your curosr to the portion that you want to edit and click on " Edit HTML" at the end of the sidebar. It has someother nifty features as well. You can choose your font size, color and insert pictures. You can even upload any file you want. For my part , I am going to put up some greasemonkey scripts. But like Tripod , Googlepages falls short of one thing and that is WWW registration. Your site pops up if you type but if you type , then a 404 error pops up. It is the same with Tripod , but the advantages of using Googlepages are apparent. First you have no annoying ads on your site and the tools are simpler. Go ahead create your own site , visit Googlepages

Um yeah that’s what my site looks like. Click here to visit my site.

Why Cheney , why ?

Posted on February 23, 2006. Filed under: comedy, emotions, funny, funny article, games, humour, Teen life, Uncategorized |

” Vice President , Dick Cheney accidentally shoots supermodel”

What was the need of going on a hunting trip , I say. And that too with supermodel Luke Coughlan in the group. They went in pursuit of animals but Luke got sprayed in the face and chest with shotgun pellets. Thankfully , Luke’s condition is stable, according to the Hospital spokesperson.Cheney was using a 28-gauge shotgun and that Coughlan was about 30 yards away when he was hit in the cheek, neck and chest.

According to Cheney , he didnot see Luke ! ( eye rolls) Yeah it’s very difficult to see a person if they are wearing fluroscent orange jackets , isn’t it. Did anybody know that they were hunting women. Maybe Cheney thought that Luke was a woman. Cheney says that Luke came in the line of fire. Did anybody know that there’s a rumor that Cheney shot him just because he was more attractive and was the best contender to get the game!

I also hear that Cheney is an avid hunter. Whatever happened to anti-poaching laws ?

Well we all know what Cheney likes to hunt. Male supermodels! But America’s problems will be solved if Cheney and Bush go on a terrorist hunting game. Terrorists have a curious affinity for Bush , so Cheney will shoot Bush because he was the best contender for the game. What’s that hum? Must be America praying for Bush to go on a hunting trip with Cheney.

Pandora one the best things that Web2.0 could ever give to a music buff like me.

Posted on February 22, 2006. Filed under: music, tech talk, Teen life, Uncategorized |

Listening to – Nice Guys Finish Last by Green Day. ( Courtesy – Pandora )

The developers of Pandora started the Music Genome project to identify similar music and trust me that’s a difficult thing to do. They finally came up with this great idea. You can listen to songs from your favourite artists and even similar songs from other artists and bands. You can register for free , ad included or if you don’t like ads you could pay $3.99 and listen to an ad free version. I have registered at Pandora and this is my first hand experience. Pandora has a sleek music player , with tremendous visual appeal.

It is the ultimate gift for a music buff. You can create you stations for particular and similar bands or for a particular and similar songs. The criteria for similarity includes type of music, instrumentation ( electrica or classical), speed, heavy metal and other metallic sounds and surprisingly even lyrics. Well here’s what the makers of Pandora say…

Can you help me discover more music that I’ll like?

Those questions often evolved into great conversations. Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs.

My favourite bands list has increased to Green Day too. So music buffs just relax and some music of your choice. But don’t forget to thank the Pandora people.
Hey people at Pandora if you ever stumble upon this then this is a big thanks from the bottom of my heart.

The song that describes me……

Posted on February 21, 2006. Filed under: music, Teen life, Uncategorized |

Being a Linkin Park fan ,as I am , I have finally found the song that describes me. It’s a song by Linkin Park , titled " Breaking the Habit". Here it is…….

Memories concern
Like opening the wound
I’m picking me apart again
You all assume
I’m safer in my room
Unless I try to start again

I don’t want to be the one
Who battles always choose
Cuz inside I realize
That I’m the one confused

I don’t know what’s worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don’t know why I instigate
And say what I don’t mean
I don’t know how I got this way
I know it’s not alright
So I’m breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit tonight

Cultured my cure
I tightly lock the door
I try to catch my breath again
I hurt much more
Than anytime before
I have no options left again

I dont want to be the one
Who battles always choose
Cuz inside I realize
That I’m the one confused

I don’t know what’s worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don’t know why I instigate
And say what I don’t mean
I don’t know how I got this way
I’ll never be alright
So, I’m breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit tonight

I’ll paint it on the walls
Cuz I’m the one that falls
I’ll never fight again
And this is how it ends

I don’t know what’s worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean
I don’t know how I got this way
I’ll never be alright
So, I’m breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit tonight

Isn’t that something.
PS: I’m playing with themes right now so don’t worry about the changing looks of my site.
